Every year my husband would bring home a Douglas fir that always dried out-and I swear I still find Douglas fir needles in my house years later. So last year we tried a nobel fir and I actually made an effort to keep it watered. I was amazed how much water it needed!!! So apparently I was never watering enough. :) so give it one more year. :) and if it sucks then buy a fakie on holiday clearance. :) It’ll last if you water it. Spring for a Nobel for (way less shedding), water it everyday the first week at least (you can slack a little after that), and pop the sap bubbles on the trunk to keep the smell going. Real trees are better for the environment, aren't loaded up with lead, and won't sit in a landfill when you dump it Ina few years when the kids and cat wreck it. (or when you decide you want your darling to have the same lovely real tee memories you have. ) ;) found your blog via twitter #sahm...really enjoying it. :) Dont do it!!!
