A little about me…

I’m Jayme, and this is my blog.  I’m married, his name is Tom.  He deserved a medal for putting up with me before I got pregnant; the man should be canonized for what he puts up with now.  We had our first child in August of 2010.  Her name is Dylan Rose, and I’m sure you hear this a lot from other parents, but she really is the most beautiful, smart, amazing, entertaining baby in the WORLD.  Trust me, it’s true.

I left my exciting, cutthroat job in retail when Dylan was born; I figured my talents would be better utilized by our new infant than by some jackhole customers who made it a habit to buy the most expensive thing on the floor, wear it without deodorant to run a marathon or push a truck uphill, then return it claiming it smelled like that when they bought it.  So now I spend my days (and some nights) trying to decipher this adorable little being who for some bizarre reason chose us as her parents.  It is the hardest, most demanding, most stressful, most back breaking , and most rewarding, job I’ve ever had.  But the pay is LOUSY.

On occasion, I will mention some other names in my blog, so here’s a rundown of the most notable players:  Dylan, daughter extraordinaire; Tom, husband a go go; Erin, sister from the same mister; Arthur, Erin’s husband; Taeya and Lola, the gorgeous offspring of Erin and Arthur; Maggi, sister from a different mister; Steve, husband to Maggi, Yin to her Yang; Elias, oldest, wisest, awesomest of the kids, fruit of Maggi’s and Steve’s loins; Natalya and Jovie, more Maggi and Steve fruit, twins, too cool for school.  Of the animal kind: Charlie, our cocker spaniel and first furry baby; Balls and Cali, feline furry babies.

These are my thoughts, musings, rantings, ramblings, and experiences.  All ideas and stories are my own, unless I say otherwise, but I’m pretty interesting, so don’t count on me saying otherwise very often.  This is my first trip into the Parenthood, and it has thus far been filled with more ups and downs than I thought possible.  And it’s only been 7 months.  So you can imagine how much material I’m gonna have.

In conclusion, thanks for reading.  I hope you find my life as amusing as I do.  Comment if you feel the urge, email me should you have questions or suggestions or complaints, I’ll definitely get back to you if it falls into the first two categories.  I’m not the only mommy blogging in her spare time, true, but I hope that you’ll find I’m at least one of the more amusing.  I sure do.
