It has been over 2 months since I’ve posted a blog on my little ol’ website. I didn’t intend to just stop posting, I guess I just got caught up in the pregnancy and moving and getting ready for the baby. Oh, and I had said baby, so that took up some time. But I’m happy to report that I am back and ready to write, and I have a TON of new material. Turns out, babies are pretty fascinating, and make for pretty lively and interesting conversation. So while she is too young to realize her mom is probably embarrassing her, I plan on blogging the crap out of her. I’m her mother, it’s my job.
In case you don’t already know, here are the vital statistics: our beautiful daughter was born on August 10, 2010, at 9:55am, after a short but tense labor (much more on that in the next blog). She weighed 6 lbs 14 oz (all that big baby mumbo jumbo and worrying was for naught, she was teeny), and was (allegedly) 20 3/4 in long. I say allegedly because 2 weeks later, she measured 20 1/2, which is smaller, and I don’t think she shrank, so I’m going with they measured wrong at the hospital. She has a full head of hair, dark brown, sticks straight up. She really, truly is absolutely gorgeous, and I’m not just saying that because she’s my child. And I am 100%, hopelessly in love with her.
That’s all I have time for right now (babies take up a lot of time, as it turns out). But I’m excited to be back, and I’m excited to have so much to write about. And I am really excited to not be pregnant anymore–I was running out of things to complain about. Phase two is MUCH better.
